Runner's World (UK) - - Human Race -

You ask each month what inspires us. The strongest inspiration I gain is from within. When I put on my gear and lace up my shoes, my reflection in the mirror shows the real me – raw and ready to take on whatever the run has in store. I’m the only one who can put my feet, one by one, in front of the other; I’m the only one who can add on that extra mile or fight with my mind and tell my tired legs, ‘I can do this!’ When we’re bombarded by the media telling us who we should be, what we should look like, who we should aspire to, it’s easy to forget who we are. I inspire me Claire Herworth, Woodland, Co Durham
