Runner's World (UK) - - Human Race - – Sara Baillie, by email

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis around four years ago and struggled to come to terms with it. After putting on five stone and feeling very low I decided to do something about it, and joined a C25K programme last year. I’m now gearing up for my first marathon! More, I’ve found running friends I can open up to. I may not be able to run forever, but right now I can. It's important for people to know that a progressive illness doesn’t mean you can’t reach your goals.
