BROOKS GLYC ERIN 16

shoe EVERY LONG- RUNNING POPULAR will go through a not-so-great version or two in its history, and the Glycerin 16 will probably be remembered as such. It’s not terrible, more a victim of the extremely high standards it has set in the past. It’s still the same premium-grade, neutral-cushioned shoe for high-mileage runners – and if you’re a diehard Glycerin fan there’s nothing major here to scare you away – but feedback around fit (a tad wide in the toebox), cushioning (too soft), flexibility (not enough) and breathability ( poor in the hot weather) suggests the shoe doesn’t quite live up to the premium price tag. A few tweaks are needed to get it back to its previously exalted levels.
