Smiles all round

Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

There were plenty of smiles when a community gala day was held in Burnhill at the weekend.

It was held outside Rutherglen West and Wardlawhill Church on Western Avenue in Rutherglen, and run by three local community groups - the Burnhill Action Group, West End White Flats Residents Association and West and Wardlawhill Parish Church.

There was something for everyone, including a bungie assault course, a bouncy castle, Owl Magic, facepainting and even appearances by Disney Characters.

The church was also open and provided a tearoom, with rolls and sausage too.

There were community information stalls as well as a performance by Cambuslang and Rutherglen Rock ‘n’ Pop Chorus.
