Youngsters from Rutherglen’s Universal Connections have come face to face with the undead!
But there was no need to worry about a zombie invasion, as the young people filmed their very own horror movie, in preparation for Halloween.
The primary sixes and primary sevens who attend the Saturday Showdown Group wrote and starred in the scary film. The day of filming was lots of fun, with everyone getting covered in blood, and trying to do their best undead impressions.
Taking part in the movie were: Kieran Miller (10), from Bankhead, Zoe Forsyth (10) from Spittal, Josh Hannah (11) from Bankhead, Ben McKay (10) from Calderwood, Murray McGregor (10) from Calderwood, Savannah McLaughlin (10), from Calderwood, Mark Turner (10) from Spittal, Lucy Cunningham (10) from Calderwood, Christopher Turner (10) from Spittal, Sam Bradley (10) from Bankhead, and Owen Brown (11), also from Bankhead.
The Saturday Showdown runs every week at Rutherglen Universal Connections from 10.30am–2pm.
It is open to all P6s and P7s in the area. Entry is just 50p, although there is occasionally an extra charge for trips. Every week there are lots of activities including arts and crafts, gaming, free internet, and cookery.
There is a small tuck shop and attendees can even buy noodles or toasties for lunch too.
