Win Turkish holiday
Two Rutherglen businesses have teamed up to offer a fantastic prize holiday.
Thomas Cook on Main Street are running a promotion with Harley’s Sky Bar for a customer to win a holiday for two to Turkey. A talk on old Rutherglen will be held in the Royal Burgh’s library next month.
Rutherglen in Old Photos will take place on Tuesday, December 2, from 2-3pm.

Get free entry to the draw by visiting the premises between 8pm and 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
Bubbly and £100 Thomas Cook voucher is given away to each night’s winner, who then goes into a final draw. buildings and industries. One of the pictures she will show features a horse bus from the Burnside Omnibus Company.
Tickets cost £ 2 from the library desk and anyone interested should purchase tickets in advance. Asda Toryglen will be holding a women’s information stand on Sunday, November 16, from 1-3pm.
The supermarket has teamed up with the local Aitkenhead Crime Prevention Panel to raise awareness of the many different help groups in the community supporting women.
There will be support from benefit advice services and law services.
There will also be advice on drugs awareness, alcohol awareness and domestic abuse.
The Toryglen store will also be changing the message on their till receipts from Thursday November 13.
Customers’ receipts from the checkout will feature a message which will include the National Domestic Abuse helpline telephone number and the web address for the charity.
Asda will be doing this for a short period of time.
The Domestic Abuse Help Line is dedicated to supporting all victims of domestic abuse by providing compassionate, nonjudgemental support via a telephone service, with the line open 24 hours a day and 365 days of the year.
