Refurbished Blue Rupee is ready for Christmas

Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

The Blue Rupee in Burnside is set to sparkle this Christmas.

The newly-refurbished restaurant now has a cocktail and coffee lounge for those just looking for a relaxing drink, or a coffee and a quick bite to eat.

For local businesses and residents, the Blue Rupee’s very reasonably priced menu is available seven days a week, from noon-3pm.

To celebrate the reopening, a special night was held last week.

A spokesman said: “We have added tapas to our new exciting menu, enabling the diner to taste our vast range of dishes.

“We would like to thank Malcolm Macaskill and Alan McLennan, and all the guests, for making our relaunch night a great success.

“We managed to raise £1500 for the Yorkhill children’s charity, thanks to the generosity of our loyal customers who donated generously on the night.”
