Pupils, parents, friends and other family members came out in their droves on Saturday to enjoy all the fun of the Fernhill School Christmas fayre.

There was something for everyone on the day including Fairtrade Advent items, sock puppets, festive bath bombs, Christmas sweets, glitter tattoos, face painting, makeup and jewellery.

There was also a mouth-watering selection of food and drink available to all visitors in the shape of hot dogs, treats at the chocolate fountain or tea, coffee and cakes in the tea room.

No Christmas fayre would be complete without a visit from Santa and he didn’t disappoint on Saturday either. Pupils and their family and friends paid a visit to Santa’s grotto where they received a Christmas gift and a keepsake photograph.

Of the turnout for the Fayre, head teacher Dr Laura Murphy said: “The Christmas fayre is always a very popular event in our school calendar and I am delighted to see so many pupils and their families coming out to enjoy the many activities on offer.

“The heart of Fernhill School is its staff, pupils and family members and it was wonderful to see them all coming together to have fun and relax.”
