Groups and in­di­vid­u­als in Cam­bus­lang were not mak­ing suf­fi­cient use of the Com­bine Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Cen­tre, ac­cord­ing to staff who worked there.

Cam­bus­lang Un­em­ployed Work­ers Cen­tre was set to open, with the hope that it would be a “cam­paign­ing cen­tre”.

Glas­gow’s Labour ad­min­is­tra­tion ad­mit­ted there was a four week cut­back on damp­ness re­pairs in Ruther­glen, Cam­bus­lang and Castlemilk tak­ing place.

A com­pul­sory re­pairs or de­mo­li­tion or­der was slapped on one of Ruther­glen’s old­est build­ings, the Old Smiddy.

Glen­cairn gained two vi­tal points after de­feat­ing Forth Wan­der­ers 4-2, with Forth fin­ish­ing the game with just nine men on the pitch.
