A man is to stand trial accused of stalking his expartner.
Michael Brownlee (28) is alleged to have caused the woman fear and alarm by repeatedly texting, calling, leaving voicemails, sending messages to her social networking sites, repeatedly showing up at her house, repeatedly knocking on the door and seeking entry, and repeatedly sending letters to her.
The alleged offence took place on various occasions between July 1, 2013 and November 27, this year at Avon House, Furlongs, Hamilton and Sainsbury’s Kingsgate in East Kilbride.
Brownlee, of 72 Brownside Road, Cambuslang, denied the charge at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week. Trial is set for March 11. Brownlee was granted bail and was ordered to appear back in the dock for an interim diet on February 12.
