A man is to stand trial ac­cused of stalk­ing his ex­part­ner.

Michael Brown­lee (28) is al­leged to have caused the woman fear and alarm by re­peat­edly tex­ting, call­ing, leav­ing voice­mails, send­ing mes­sages to her so­cial net­work­ing sites, re­peat­edly show­ing up at her house, re­peat­edly knock­ing on the door and seek­ing en­try, and re­peat­edly send­ing let­ters to her.

The al­leged of­fence took place on var­i­ous oc­ca­sions be­tween July 1, 2013 and Novem­ber 27, this year at Avon House, Fur­longs, Hamil­ton and Sains­bury’s Kings­gate in East Kil­bride.

Brown­lee, of 72 Brown­side Road, Cam­bus­lang, de­nied the charge at Hamil­ton Sher­iff Court last week. Trial is set for March 11. Brown­lee was granted bail and was or­dered to ap­pear back in the dock for an in­terim diet on Fe­bru­ary 12.
