Rutherglen Reformer

A return to Lanarkshire

- Comedy tour

One of Scotland’s favourite comedians and TV presenters has announced he will be returning to Lanarkshire with his latest tour ‘Give Him An Inch’.

Funnyman Craig Hill will be back at Rutherglen Town Hall next January and Cumbernauld Theatre in February , for more outrageous shows.

The comic has stopped off at both venues a couple of times over the past several years, including a popular appearance in Rutherglen last year.

Now he’s back with new show Give Him An Inch...

It promises to be a deliciously wicked and gloriously camp evening of no-holds-barred comedy and pure, unadulterated fun.

Prior to performing at the Town Hall last year, Craig praised the venue.

He said: “The Town Hall is fantastic.

“Growing up in East Kilbride we’d pass through Rutherglen a bit when I was younger, and I remember saying to my brother recently if he’d seen how impressive the Town Hall is now.

“They’ve really modernised it, when you hear Town Hall you think of an old building, but it was really impressive, it was good for sound, had a really good atmosphere and it was a really lovely gig.”

Craig regularly tours throughout the UK as well as appearing at International Festivals as far afield as Cape Town, Montreal, New York, Switzerland, Madrid, Paris, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

Over the last 12 months he has performed at Sydney Opera House and has been having a ball hosting events for Visit Britain and Visit Scotland in New York and Toronto. And he even found time to nip over to Norway to do a gig for the Norwegian Navy.

He hosted the Inverness ‘Red Hot Highland Fling’ for the third year running as part of Hogmanay celebrations

Craig returns to the Town Hall on January 31 and Cumbernauld Theatre on February 13.

He will be performing two shows at the Glasgow Comedy Festival in March.

Please note that Craig’s show contains language that may offend and is suitable for over 16 years only.

Tickets are £13.50 or £11 for concessions and are available through stopping by the Town Hall in person, by calling 0141 613 5700 or visiting www.sllcboxoffice.co.uk.
