Nativity full of festive magic at Park View

P1 pupils star in Christmas treat for family and friends

- Jonathan Geddes

Park View Primary pupils were little stars when they performed their nativity play.

The school’s P1 class told the story of the birth of Jesus in front of a delighted audience of parents, grandparents, friends and teachers.

It was a show that the whole school chipped in to support, too. The P2’s ICT class provided a powerpoint presentation to start the show, as well as helping with the programme.

And the school’s art club, for P4 and P5 pupils, helped to design the sets and props.

The show helped a good cause too, with £85 of their remaining cash going towards the Children’s First charity, which the kids had chosen as the one they wanted to help.

Teachers Miss Sophia Sheikh and Miss Sacha Watson were the staff who produced the play.

Head teacher Maria Speirs said: “The children were wonderful.

“Every one of them was a little star, and a huge thanks to the parents and friends of the school for all of their support and an extra special thanks and congratulations to Miss Sheikh and Miss Watson. All of their hard work, commitment and enthusiasm was greatly appreciated by everyone!”

Feedback left by parents were full of praise for the show, calling it fantastic and amazing, and praising staff and the kids for all their hard work.”
