A Rutherglen nursery opened its doors for a night of festive fun.

The Hollytree Nursery, based on Hamilton Road, invited all parents and children along to meet Santa and join in some Christmas arts and crafts.

Children had fun making reindeer dust, calendars and had their faces painted. Over 100 families joined the nursery.

Staff and owners Mary and Joseph McEwan were delighted to see everyone enjoying refreshments and the festive entertainment.

Manager Donna Boland said: “The staff all made an effort dressing in Christmas jumpers and organising crafts for children, Santa was very busy with over 100 children to see.”

Parents complimented staff on how well the evening was organised.

Donna added: “It was good to spend some time with parents and children outside the normal working hours. Hollytree Nursery wished all a Merry Christmas and a special thank you went to our parents for their continuous support.”
