Engine is evolving
Better performance and economy is heading for the Land Rover Discovery Sport courtesy of the brand’s new Ingenium diesel engine.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder powerplant, also used in the new Jaguar XE saloon, is designed to deliver classleading torque and power, combined with reduced CO2 emissions and lower fuel consumption.
In the Disco Sport’s case the unit will be available with two power outputs of 150PS and 180PS.
The new 150PS derivative has the potential for a fuel figure of up to 57.7mpg and CO2 emissions from 129g/km, while the TD4 180PS delivers 139g/km and 53.3mpg.
