Kast Off Kinks head­ing for Ruther­glen Town Hall

A Kinks act that fea­ture mem­bers of the orig­i­nal band’s line- up have an­nounced a Ruther­glen Town Hall gig for Oc­to­ber next year.

The Kast off Kinks are ac­tual for­mer mem­bers of the clas­sic Bri­tish group.

This great line-up fea­tures Mick Avory (the orig­i­nal drum­mer on all the clas­sic hits from 196484), John Dal­ton ( bass/vo­cals, Kinks 1966 and 1969-‘76), Ian Gib­bons ( key­boards/ vo­cals, Kinks 1979-‘ 96 and still with Ray Davies) and Dave Clarke ( gui­tar/vo­cals, for­merly of the Beach Boys, Noel Red­ding and Tim Rose).

Ex­pect all the big hits and other favourites when they play the Town Hall on Oc­to­ber 8, 2016.

Tick­ets are on sale now priced at £17.00 or £16.00 from the box of­fice . Ruther­glen Ro­tary Club is seek­ing the help of Re­former read­ers who are keen gar­den­ers.

Mem­bers of the Ro­tary Club are plan­ning a plant fayre at the Abbey­field House com­plex on Stonelaw Drive, Ruther­glen, on Satur­day, May 23, in aid of Abbey­field and other lo­cal char­i­ties, and hope green-fin­gered read­ers will do­nate bed­ding plants or other gar­den shrubs to make this a real win­ner for ev­ery­one. It will run, ap­prox­i­mately, from 10am till 2pm.

Ro­tary Club pres­i­dent Ian Wil­son said:“We know there are peo­ple who just love grow­ing plants and if ex­tra items can be sold to oth­ers then th­ese funds can pro­vide sup­port for lo­cal good causes. This is a win -win sit­u­a­tion for ev­ery­one in our com­mu­nity.”
