Rutherglen Reformer - - Memory Lane -

A Cambuslang mum scooped one of Britain’s biggest bingo wins when she called house on a £75,000 nationwide game.

Strict policing and continued local vigliance seemed to have stopped the problem of vandalism at Burnside’s Calderwood Road shops.

Controversial plans for an amusement arcade on Main Street, that had been opposed by the community council and councillors, were set for a public inquiry.

Local councillors called for the return of old style park keepers to help parks in the area be better looked after.

Uncertainty continued to hang over the future of Toryglen parks, a year after the regional council pulled back from closing them.
