Nom­i­nated by Coun­cil­lor Rus­sell Clearie MBE. Mar­garet is one of many un­sung he­roes within Cam­bus­lang.

Over the last 15 years, work­ing 10 years as a mem­ber and the last five years as the sec­re­tary to Cam­bus­lang Dis­trict Vol­un­tary Care Club look­ing af­ter and help­ing peo­ple with spe­cial needs.

Mar­garet and a small band of peo­ple within the group ar­range out­ings through­out the year over and above the weekly class.

Mar­garet is an ac­tive in­di­vid­ual and is truly val­ued for her role within the parish church in Cam­bus­lang, tak­ing on dif­fer­ent roles as a vol­un­teer cov­er­ing church el­der, Sun­day School teacher and a Girls Brigade Leader be­fore tak­ing on the role as sec­re­tary to Cam­bus­lang Dis­trict Vol­un­tary Care Club.

Mar­garet’s com­mit­ment and ded­i­ca­tion to the lo­cal com­mu­nity is sec­ond to none.
