Staff raise over £700 for kids

The Asda in To­ry­glen made a su­per ef­fort to raise over £700 for char­ity re­cently.

The su­per­store, lo­cated on Prospecthill Road, donned su­per hero out­fits to take part in their year’s Ra­dio Clyde Su­per­hero Day.

The su­per­hero day en­cour­ages peo­ple to put on su­per­hero cos­tumes and raise money for char­ity Cash For Kids.

How­ever not only did staff get in fancy dress, but they held a cy­cleathon in the foyer.

Col­leagues had to cy­cle for half hour slots in be­tween their shifts.

The pedal power started at 9am and fin­ished at 5pm with no breaks in be­tween.

A to­tal of £740 was raised and all who sup­ported the cause are thanked.
