Great buzz at Rotary

Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

Rutherglen Rotary Club was a hive of activity when its latest guest speaker attended.

The members made a quick bee-line for their seats, when they listened to Mhairi Neill, daughter of Rotarian Brian ColeHamilton.

Mhairi gave an excellent presentation on the honey bee, its amazing lifestyle and how it’s an essential part of the eco system.

As an enthusiastic beekeeper who brought a hive, full honeycombs and samples of the honey produced by her own bees, Mhairi’s talk was very well received - particularly by those members with a sweet tooth!

The vote of thanks on behalf of the club was given by past president Phil Spence.

Thank you Phil Spence, speaker Mhairi Neill and Rutherglen Rotary Club president Bill Liggat holding a full honeycomb produced by Mhairi’s bees
