Prom night

Rutherglen Reformer - - News -

There’s not long until another school year comes to an end.

It’s a special time for those pupils in the upper year groups at secondary school, as many of them will be preparing to leave their schooldays behind.

The three high schools in Rutherglen and Cambuslang will be marking this special time by holding proms next week, which give the pupils one last chance to have a night out together, and dress up especially for the occasion.

Trinity High’s prom will take place on June 11, with Stonelaw High on June 12, and then Cathkin High on June 13. It will give the pupils a night to remember, as they say farewell to many of their friends and teacher for the last time, as they prepare to either enter the world of higher education, as they go off to university or college, or get ready to enter the world of work.

To mark the occasion, the Reformer will be print a special supplement containing pictures of local youngsters looking their best, on their prom nights.

We are encouraging those going to the proms to send us their pictures, either by email to news@ rutherglenreformer.co.uk or by posting them on our Facebook wall.
