Our top five sto­ries on­line last week were:

5. Malls Mire project. Many thanks to South La­nark­shire Coun­cil for their grant to­wards Burn­side Au­tumn Club’s sum­mer out­ing.

On May 20 we vis­ited Cal­len­dar House in Falkirk, then the Kelpies in Helix Park, then fi­nally high tea at the Sea­park Ho­tel, Grange­mouth - and it was sun­shine all the way! Betty Gard­ner, Sec­re­tary, Burn­side Au­tumn Club. On be­half of the mem­bers of Over­toun Car­pet Bowl­ing Club, I wish to thank the coun­cil for the grant that al­lowed us to have a lovely out­ing to Pais­ley In­door Bowls last week where ev­ery­one en­joyed a meal and a game of bowls.

The mem­bers all ap­pre­ci­ated this kind do­na­tion from the coun­cil. May Stark, Pres­i­dent.

Pro­posal South La­nark­shire Coun­cil are con­tribut­ing over £3mil­lion to the pro­posed Cathkin Re­lief Road.
