Rutherglen Reformer - - News - Kenny Smith

Pupils from Rutherglen and Cambuslang primary schools were wearing it yellow last week.

Every year, thousands of primary seven pupils, and their teachers, don something yellow and walk 6k round Strathclyde Park to raise money for patient care at the St Andrew’s Hospice.

Pupils from St Mark’s, St Cadoc’s and St Charles’ Primary Schools took part in the event at the park last Wednesday, which had a great atmosphere as it brought together the young people of Lanarkshire for a great cause. Upon arrival at the park each pupil received a commemorative ‘ Wear Yellow Walk’ hat which was worn by all attending and created a magnificent sight – a sea of yellow.

On completion of the walk, pupils gathered in the concourse area to sing and dance to the fun entertainment provided.
