Olivia has her hair cut for Little Princess Trust
Every little girl should look like a princess
It was a case of hair today gone tomorrow for a generous little Castlemilk girl.
Olivia Rodgers (7) got her hair cut last Saturday ( June 6) and donated it to the Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust provides real-hair wigs, free of charge, to boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.
She is also raising money for the charity and the total currently stands at an impressive £275
The St Bartholomew’s Primary pupil got the idea while watching telly with granny Tricia.
Her mum Siobhan (31) explained: “There was a programme on about cancer suffers and how they can lose their hair.
“Olivia felt bad for them and wanted to do something.
“She wants to donate her hair to a little girl who has lost hers as she said she thinks every little girl should look like a princess.”
The hair cut took place at Victoria Hair Design in Kyle Square.
Hair dresser Vicky Lee took Olivia in to the middle of the shop, so everyone could see what the brave little girl was doing for charity.
Siobhan said: “She wasn’t nervous at all, Vicky took her in to the middle of the salon when she was getting it done so everyone could see. When she got it cut off everyone cheered.
“She definitely suits it, it makes her look a wee bit more grown up.
“We’re all very proud of her. “We’re delighted with the amount, Olivia is absolutely over the moon.”
