Spittal on the ball at fives tourney
The winners of the annual Landemer Day five- a-side football tournament have been announced.
Spittal Primary won the Landemer Day Trophy, the runners-up were Calderwood Primary, third placed were Cathkin Primary and in fourth place were St Anthony’s Primary.
The 2015 Landemer Queen elect, Katie Whiteside, presented the 2015 trophy and medals to the participants.
Secretary of the Landemer committee, Ian Duncan, said: “All the games were played in a friendly and sporting manner so much so that they were all a credit to their schools.
“In fact, the older and professional players could take an example from these youngsters.”
