Pea­cocks open their doors in cen­tre

Ruther­glen’s re­tail sec­tor will welcome back a fa­mil­iar name to­mor­row (Thurs­day) when Pea­cocks opens it’s new store in the shop­ping cen­tre.

And the Wales- based fash­ion re­tailer is of­fer­ing a treat to the first cus­tomers through the door on Satur­day morn­ing as well.

A £30 golden ticket will be dished out to the first 20 cus­tomers to be spent in store on June 20.

A spokesper­son said: “At our re­cent store open­ings, cus­tomers have queued out­side the stores from 5am in or­der to get their hands on a Golden Ticket, so be sure to get down to the store early on Satur­day, June 20.

“Pea­cocks stands for qual­ity and value for the whole fam­ily. The busi­ness is ded­i­cated to bring­ing cus­tomers ex­cep­tional value for money on the high street.

“The range gives cus­tomers the best of ba­sics, start­ing at just £3, to the latest fash­ions for women, men and kids. The brand new stores are bright and fresh, with a buzzing at­mos­phere and gor­geous col­lec­tions are mer­chan­dised to show off the brand new high sum­mer range. “

Pea­cocks was founded 130 years ago by Al­bert Pea­cock in 1884.

Bought by the Ed­in­burgh Woolen Mill group in 2012, the head of­fice is lo­cated in Cardiff, South Wales. Pea­cocks cur­rently has 460 stores across the UK, with 50 new stores open­ing this year.

On Satur­day, June 20 the shop­ping cen­tre will also hold their reg­u­lar craft fair from 11am to 5pm.

A spokesper­son said: “We have a great se­lec­tion of hand­crafted goods on of­fer on in­clud­ing a brand new range of hand­made scarves and bags, jew­ellery and art for the home.”
