Roving gangs were causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to schools in Rutherglen and Cambuslang every week, with the latest break-ins taking place at Trinity High and Bankhead Primary.
The district council revealed that the cost of refurbishing Rutherglen Town Hall would cost around £750,000.
