Cathkin Relief Road is £20 million wrong answer
austerity and with no mandate in a Scotland that voted SNP and rejected austerity. Again Scotland’s voice has been ignored by a UK Government.
However, when the difficult political choices have to be made, and I am sure they will, I hope South Lanarkshire Council will in the future make them in partnership with our local communities and not impose them over the heads of worried families.
A good start would be reinstating school buses and axing the relief road. As an SNP MSP I would not scream U-turn. Rather I would commend the council for listening to our communities and responding.
