A sum­mer of fun with Pro­ject 31

There’s a sum­mer of fun ahead in Ruther­glen and Cam­bus­lang with Pro­ject 31.

The lo­cal chil­dren and fam­i­lies’pro­ject, who are now based on Hamil­ton Road in Ruther­glen, have a full pro­gramme over the sum­mer hol­i­days with some­thing to keep ev­ery­one happy.

All of their ac­tiv­i­ties are suit­able for chil­dren aged from zero-12 years and are to­tally free of charge.

The pro­gramme of nearly 80 ses­sions in­cludes fam­ily fun, early es­capades and pop up play.

Ses­sion lo­ca­tions in­clude Over­toun and Cam­bus­lang Parks, Stonelaw and Holmhills Woods and the Spring­hall, West­burn and Burn­hill play­parks.

A range of play, arts and sports ac­tiv­i­ties will be avail­able and a num­ber of events such as Na­tional Play Day and In­ter­na­tional Mud Day will be cel­e­brated.

Also on of­fer this sum­mer are for­est school taster ses­sions and week-long cour­ses which take place in the Pro­ject’s For­est School sites at Holmhills and Cam­bus­lang Park.

Pro­ject 31 man­ager Lorna Bam­ford said:“We’re look­ing for­ward to a bril­liant sum­mer of ac­tiv­ity with ev­ery­thing from out­door yoga, football and a for­est school ses­sion to celebrate Harry Pot­ter’s birth­day!

“As al­ways, our ac­tiv­i­ties are to­tally free of charge mak­ing them ac­ces­si­ble to all so we’re hop­ing to see lots of new fam­i­lies com­ing along as well as lots of reg­u­lar Pro­ject 31 friends.”
