Man ac­cused of selling fakes

A man from Croft­foot has ap­peared in court ac­cused of selling coun­ter­feit DVDs and CDs.

James Mark Freer, from Crofthill Road, ap­peared yesterday (Tues­day, July 7).

Be­tween March 4, 2012, and April 26, 2014, at a mar­ket stall at the Bar­ras on Mon­cor Street, the 31-year-old is ac­cused of hav­ing in his pos­ses­sion a quan­tity of DVDs and CDs which he al­legedly knew were in­fring­ing on the copy­rights of a work.

Be­tween the same dates he is also ac­cused of of­fer­ing to sell the CDs and DVDs.

Freer pleaded not guilty and was or­dained to reap­pear on July 28.
