Hector will go Bizerk at T in the Park

Rutherglen Reformer - - Intimations -

Rutherglen band Hector Bizerk have landed an appearance at T In The Park this weekend.

The group, who include Rutherglen woman Audrey Tait on drums, will headline the festival’s Transmissions stage on Friday night.

It’s the latest highlight in a busy year for the band, that’s already seen them play the South By Southwest festival in America and sell out King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow.

The group released their third album, The Waltz Of Modern Psychiatry, which featured music that was used in the stage play Crazy Jane.

The band played the festival’s T Break stage back in 2013, when they were an emerging act, but this year’s slot will see them play to a much bigger crowd in the festival’s first year at Strathallan. They’re thrilled at the chance. The group also includes frontman “Louie”, who comes from Glasgow, who said:“We are literally dancing in the kitchen of our creative base Paul’s Halls studios (in Cumbernauld).

“It’s such an unexpected honour to be headlining the Transmissions Stage. The atmosphere will be absolutely electric.”

A real hit Audrey Tait, from Rutherglen, and Louie
