Shona has still two more tracks to re­lease in her pro­ject

Mother­well mu­si­cian Shona Brown is clos­ing in on com­plet­ing her am­bi­tious 10 in10 pro­ject – which has seen her re­lease a new track on a monthly ba­sis.

Shona re­leased the latest of her pro­ject on June 10, and has two more tracks to re­lease be­fore com­plet­ing her plan.

She main­tained the sched­ule with the re­lease of her track Time for Ev­ery­thing, which fea­tures her choir the SoundRoutes Singers. And she ad­mits it has been a busy time for her, but still has big plans for the next few months.

Shona said:“Things have been very busy here. I’ve been work­ing very hard to get the ma­te­rial writ­ten in time for re­lease each month.

“I’ve had a lot of peo­ple join­ing my mail­ing list or writ­ing to me to tell me they like the mu­sic.

“I also run com­mu­nity choirs through my or­gan­i­sa­tion SoundRoutes and I’m go­ing to be in­clud­ing 100 or so singers form the choirs in my June re­lease.”

The singer-song­writer, who takes in­flu­ence from Sigur Ros, has re­cently ap­peared on STV’s River­side Show. She takes to the stage alone, but dur­ing her live per­for­mances loops flute and vo­cal sounds.

Shona has worked with Mog­wai, Bar­bara Thompson, Ed­die McGuire and Cora Bis­sett amongst oth­ers. She will ap­pear at the Kirk­in­til­loch Mu­sic Fes­ti­val in Au­gust.
