Three teenagers face trial at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court

Three Castlemilk teenagers were due to ap­pear in court on Mon­day (July 13) on sev­eral charges.

James Boyd (16) of West­farm Cres­cent, Dean Forsyth (17) of Croft­foot Street and Liam Rae (18) of Stra­vanan Gar­dens were due to ap­pear at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court.

On Jan­uary 23, 2014, on Boyd Street in Glas­gow, Boyd is ac­cused of as­sault­ing a 14-year-old by punch­ing and kick­ing him on the body, seiz­ing him by the body, caus­ing him to fall to the ground and re­peat­edly stamp­ing on his head.

On March 22, 2014, Boyd is ac­cused of as­sault­ing a mem­ber of staff in the Asda on Prospecthill Road by bran­dish­ing a bot­tle at them.

On March 22, 2014, Boyd, Forsyth and Rae are ac­cused of be­hav­ing in a threat­en­ing and abu­sive man­ner by shout­ing and swear­ing at mem­bers of staff and chal­leng­ing them to fight.

Boyd failed to ap­pear at court and a war­rant was is­sued for his ar­rest.

Forsyth sub­mit­ted a plea of not guilty via a so­lic­i­tor and is due to ap­pear for trial this Fri­day (July 17). Bail was con­tin­ued.

Rae was present at court and pleaded not guilty. He was or­dained to reap­pear for trail on July 17.
