Man denies assault on police officer
A Cambuslang man appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week on several charges including assaulting a police officer.
Stephen DiPaola (29), of Redlawood Road, appeared at court on Monday (July 13).
On August 26, 2014 at a property in Newton Brae, Di Paola is accused of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting and swearing.
Di Paola is also accused of assaulting a man by seizing hold of him by the neck, pushing him against a wall and headbutting him as well as punching and kicking him to his injury.
He is also accused of damaging property belonging to someone else by throwing stones and punching windows.
He also allegedly smashed the rear passenger window of a motor vehicle by punching it.
It is also alleged he broke in to a property and assaulted a women by punching her on the head.
Di Paola is accused of resisting four police officers by struggling violently.
He is also accused of assaulting an officer by headbutting him.
Di Paola pleaded not guilty to all charges and is due to reappear at court on July 27. Bail was continued.
