Pub to host cider festival
Rutherglen cider drinkers can still sample a variety of brands at a Rutherglen pub this week.
An Ruadh Ghlean is hosting a cider festival until Sunday, July 26.
The festival will feature a range of draught ciders (apple, pear and fruit) from all over the UK.
Some have never previously been available in the pub and others have been produced exclusively for the festival.
They include awardwinning ciders, together with those with unusual flavours; wild raspberries, whisky, marmalade, bourbon, rum, elderflower and blackberry.
Among the makes on offer are; Marmalade Cider, Painted Lady, Doctor’s Orders, Black Rat, Legbender Cider, Somerset Fruit Forager and The Collaborators.
Each of the ciders will be priced at £2.15 a pint.
Pub manager Kat Scouller said: “An Ruadh Ghlean will be offering a superb selection of ciders, which I am confident will appeal to cider lovers and those enjoying cider for the first time.”
Customers can also enjoy three one-third pints of ciders for the price of a pint.
