Ruther­glen Town Hall have an­nounced their pro­gramme for the au­tumn and win­ter.

And res­i­dents won’t need to worry about be­ing mis­er­able with sum­mer com­ing to an end, as the venue will be host­ing plays, mu­sic and com­edy to warm up lo­cals as the nights get longer.

First up is the Tommy Cooper Show on Au­gust 21, with West End star Daniel Tay­lor tak­ing the ti­tle role in a telling of the comic leg­end’s life.

Au­gust 28 will shift the fo­cus to the West End, with Mad4Mu­si­cals rolling through show-stop­pers from the likes of Cats, Evita, Les Mis­er­ables and Wicked.

The ever pop­u­lar lo­cal stal­warts of Ruther­glen Rep then re­turn on Septem­ber 4 and 5 with their tra­di­tional au­tumn show.

The Mur­der Com­mit­tee sees the se­crets of a drama group come out when a de­tec­tive stops by.

Septem­ber then brings two very dif­fer­ent mu­si­cal shows in quick suc­ces­sion.

First up is Sing Sing Swing, which takes place on Septem­ber 10.
