Tribute to music icon
Rutherglen Town Hall have announced their programme for the autumn and winter.
And residents won’t need to worry about being miserable with summer coming to an end, as the venue will be hosting plays, music and comedy to warm up locals as the nights get longer.
First up is the Tommy Cooper Show on August 21, with West End star Daniel Taylor taking the title role in a telling of the comic legend’s life.
August 28 will shift the focus to the West End, with Mad4Musicals rolling through show-stoppers from the likes of Cats, Evita, Les Miserables and Wicked.
The ever popular local stalwarts of Rutherglen Rep then return on September 4 and 5 with their traditional autumn show.
The Murder Committee sees the secrets of a drama group come out when a detective stops by.
September then brings two very different musical shows in quick succession.
First up is Sing Sing Swing, which takes place on September 10.
