Support offered for families
The diagnosis of a life limiting illness such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease is a life changing event, not only for the individual but for the whole family and those closest to that person.
The Haven offers a programme of support designed to help individuals cope with the physical, emotional and practical aspects of their illness and to enable them to face the future with hope.
Support is offered to people of all ages including children and to all the family members and carers. The support is provided for people at all stages of their illness from the point of diagnosis onwards and is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the individual.
The Haven operates as a drop in centre and their team of specialist nurses, therapists, and volunteers work closely together to provide the highest standard of care.
