Not guilty to bail charges

A Ruther­glen man ap­peared in court ac­cused of break­ing his bails con­di­tions.

Mark McLaren of Hamil­ton Road, ap­peared on Tues­day, July 21.

The 26- year- old was granted bail at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court on May 24, 2013, un­der the con­di­tion he re­main within his prop­erty each day be­tween the hours of 8pm and 7am and at­tend the front door when re­quested to do so by po­lice of­fi­cers.

It is al­leged that on Au­gust 2, 2013, with­out rea­son­able ex­cuse, McLaren failed to com­ply with the con­di­tion, in that he was out­with the prop­erty at 9.40pm.

On Au­gust 2 at Neil­vaig Drive, McLaren is also ac­cused of act­ing in a threat­en­ing and abu­sive man­ner by shout­ing, swear­ing and ut­ter­ing threats.

On the same date at Cath­cart Po­lice Of­fice, he is also ac­cused of pos­sess­ing the class C drug di­azepam.

McLaren pleaded not guilty and the case was ad­journed un­til July 27. Bail was con­tin­ued.
