Three members of Slimming World in Rutherglen have been awarded diamond member of the year 2015 status.
The diamond member is awarded to members when they have maintained their target weight for a whole year - and they are presented with a beautiful black pin badge and certificate.
Irene McCormack from 10am session on Tuesday mornings was the first to receive hers.
She lost over four stone to get to her target weight which she has maintained for over three years. She attends the group every week, and is part of consultant Carol Downs’ social team.
She helps everyone at the group and is a valuable member
Jemma Gilchrist from the midday session has lost six-and-a-half stone, and kept it off for over four years. Jemma still attends the group with her team supporter, without whom she would have struggled to shift her weight.
And Pat Smith, who attends the 5.30pm group, has been at target for over three years despite being a type one diabetic.
She lost over a stone and continues to help at the group.
The Rutherglen group runs in Rutherglen West and Wardlawhill Parish Church on Tuesdays at 10am, noon, 5.30pm and 7.30pm.
