Brothers Adam and David get ready for a real survival test
A Toryglen man has won the chance to test himself against the elements this weekend.
Adam Cusack (29) will take part in a two day survival weekend in Wiltshire from this Friday onwards.
The adventure came about because he won it as a prize in a contest organised by Jeep called Renegades Wanted.
Adam found out about the competition because Jeep were a sponsor of the Tough Mudder event that he was taking part in.
He decided to go for the outdoor survival prize, and was delighted when told he’d won.
He said: “I’m keen on the outdoors and I do a lot of camping and things like that.
“I can’t wait for this, it’s a good chance to learn some new skills and see how I do.
“I’m not actually sure exactly what it’ll involve, other than it’ll be in Wiltshire and I’ll be there for a couple of days.
“It’s going to be extreme survival and it’ll be good to find out what it involves - the more extreme the better because how often do you get the chance to do that? “It’ll be a good experience.” Adam will be joined by his brother David for the weekend, who he regularly goes camping and walking with.
The competition was set up to encourage people to take on adventures, with 10 winners picked from across the country.
Damien Dally, Jeep Country Manager, added: “We all have a bit of the Renegade within us, and we’re excited to see Adam unleash his as part of this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
“Jeep is the epitome of adventure and passion and we created the Renegades Wanted competition to show just 10 winners how they can challenge convention and add adventure into their lives.
“Our winners are going to be chasing their dreams during July, from training with Olympians, to swimming with sharks and learning to survive in the wild.
“We’ve found our Renegades and can’t wait to see what we’re going to unleash!”
