Man to stand trial on bail charge and drug possession
A Rutherglen man appeared in court accused of breaking his bail conditions.
Mark McLaren of Hamilton Road, appeared on Monday July 27.
The 26-year-old was granted bail at Glasgow Sheriff Court on May 24, 2013, under the condition he remain within his property each day between the hours of 8pm and 7am and attend the front door when requested to do so by police officers.
It is alleged that on August 2, 2013, without reasonable excuse, McLaren failed to comply with the condition, in that he was outwith the property at 9.40pm.
On August 2 at Neilvaig Drive, McLaren is also accused of acting in a threatening and abusive manner by shouting, swearing and uttering threats.
On the same date at Cathcart Police Office, he is also accused of possessing the class C drug diazepam.
McLaren pleaded not guilty and the case will go to trial on August 4.
Bail was continued.
