A pensioner from King’s Park has been accused of hitting a cyclist with a taxi.

Henry Travers Martin, of Dendrennan Road, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, July 27.

On May 14, 2014, it is alleged that 88-yearold Martin was driving a London Taxi at the car park of the Asda in Toryglen when he failed to maintain the proper observations when emerging from a junction and collided with a cyclist, causing them to fall off their bicycle. He is accused of failing to notice the collision had occurred and not stopping at the scene of the accident.

He pleaded not guilty and was ordained to reappear for trial on August 17.
