Cambuslang’s Valda Hunter School of Dance recently celebrated its 25th anniversary dance show.

They held their summer revue, sponsored by Munn’s Funeral Service in Burnside, in the Cambuslang Institute.

And it proved to be a tremendous event, with various forms of dance on show.

Teacher Tracey McCue, who has been teaching at the family school, said: “I’ve had an amazing 25 years teaching here, and we have produced some fantastic dancers and teachers over this period.

“I was classically trained at ballet school between 1986 and 1990, and then went on to work in the theatre, television shows and lots more.

“Thank you to all the students and teachers for their hard work throughout the year and to all backstages helpers/dressers that helped throughout the show. Most of all, thank you to all the parents for bringing the children to class each week.

“Our pupils are always very smart in their dance uniforms.”

The club is holding an enrolling day, which will take place on Saturday, August 9, from 10am- 11.30am, at Cambuslang Baptist Church in Cadzow Drive.

Tracey said: “I’m looking forward to seeing all my dancers back in the new term.”
