A Rutherglen woman appeared in court accused of obtaining over £10,000 in benefits to which she was not entitled.
Elizabeth Anderson, of Bute Road, appeared on Tuesday ( August 4) at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
On November 15, 2010, Anderson (56), is accused of making false representations to South Lanarkshire Council on housing benefit applications, saying she lived alone, whereas she was allegedly living in the property with someone in full- time employment.She is accused of obtaining £ 8207.32. On November 13, 2010, Anderson is accused of making false representations on council tax benefit applications she was living alone and is accused of obtaining £1898.09 in council tax benefit to which she was not entitled. On December 1, 2012 Anderson is also accused of making false representations on employment and support allowance applications. She is accused of gaining £3489.86 to which she was not entitled.
Anderson pleaded not guilty and will re-appear for trial on August 21.
