A Castlemilk woman has been accused of gaining over £20,000 of benefit payments to which she was not entitled.
Janet Margaret Gavan, of Ardencraig Street, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday (August 4).
It is alleged that the 39-year-old, between February 4, 2008, and May 15, 2008, and between July 26, 2010, and December 25, 2013, failed to give prompt notification to the department of work and pensions of a change of circumstances that alledgedly affected her entitlement to Widowed Mothers Allowance.
It is alleged that Gavan was living in the household with a man who was in full time employment and thus gained £22,503.92 to which she was not entitled.
Gavan pleaded not guilty and was ordained to reappear on August 18.
