Strolling in sum­mer

Res­i­dents of Castlemilk and be­yond are be­ing in­vited to en­joy an early evening sum­mer stroll each Mon­day night.

The weekly health walk al­lows res­i­dents to stay healthy and dis­cover the woodlands, wa­ter­falls and wildlife of Castlemilk Park.

It’s a great way to meet new peo­ple and take the first steps to­wards a health­ier lifestyle. The walks, which start at 6pm, last from be­tween 90 min­utes and two hours.

If you want to take part, just meet out­side Castlemilk Com­mu­nity Cen­tre, 121 Castlemilk Drive, Castlemilk, G45 9UG.

The walks are sched­uled un­til Mon­day, Septem­ber 7.

Owl Magic will ar­rive in Over­toun Park in Septem­ber. Res­i­dents will have the op­por­tu­nity to see and even hold one of their many owls.

There will also be owl-themed arts‘n’ crafts. The event, or­gan­ised by Friends of Over­toun Park, will take place on Satur­day, Septem­ber 12, from 1pm till 3pm. Build­ing high How the new homes on the site of the Cam­bus Court will look
