Woman 48, on pos­ses­sion of drugs charges

A Croft­foot woman ap­peared at Glas­gow Sher­iff Court yesterday on sev­eral drugs charges.

Elaine MacFar­lane, of Croft­foot Drive, is ac­cused of pos­sess­ing Class B drug cannabis resin, on Fe­bru­ary 20 last year, at Castlemilk Braes Shop­ping Cen­tre, Castlemilk Po­lice Of­fice, Dougrie Drive and else­where.

She is also ac­cused of pos­sess­ing the Class B drug am­phet­a­mine.

The 48-year-old is also ac­cused of pos­sess­ing a class A drug, namely methoxyamptheramine.

On Fe­bru­ary 21, 2014, at a premises on Croft­foot Drive, MacFar­lane is ac­cused of in­ten­tion­ally pre­vent­ing a me­ter, used for mea­sur­ing the quan­tity of elec­tric­ity supplied to the prop­erty by an elec­tric­ity sup­plier, from duly reg­is­ter­ing the quan­tity of elec­tric­ity supplied.

She is fur­ther ac­cused of dis­con­nect­ing the me­ter from the main sup­ply.

MacFar­lane pleaded not guilty and is due to ap­pear in court again for trial on Septem­ber 8.

Bail was con­tin­ued mean­time.
