Get on track at Cuningar Loop
Residents in Rutherglen will get their first taste of Cuningar Loop later this month with the first of three taster sessions taking place.
On Sunday, August 23, from 12pm to 4pm, the park’s bike skill park will be open for the public to use.
The bike skills park has been designed for mountain biking, BMX and dirt jump bikes and will accommodate entry-level cyclists and skilled users. It features four tracks: a balance track, beginners’ track, improvers’track and pump track for advanced cyclists.
That will be followed by further events at the bouldering park on Sunday, August 30 and the adventure play and arts area on Sunday, September 20.
Forest Enterprise Scotland’s project manager for Cuningar Loop, Joneen Clarke can’t wait for the event and said:“We want to give local people and visitors the chance to enjoy a first peek of this exciting new park before it’s finished and fully opens in spring next year.
“People will be able to come and try out the Activity Zone and see the park as it is taking shape.
“We’re excited for people to see it – they’re going to love it!”
