SNP silence on police deafening
confirm if they are one of the forces under investigation to end the speculation.
Such a move would not prejudice any investigation and would give the Scottish people the answer they deserve.
Over the past week, a crossparty consensus has emerged in Holyrood for full transparency from the SNP Government on the police spying row.
Scottish Labour tabled a motion calling for transparency from the SNP Government, which has crossparty support from every other political party represented in the chamber.
The SNP Government are never shy about voicing their opinions on matters they have no responsibility for.
Police Scotland has been under their control since 2007.
They have questions to answer and Scottish Ministers must be held to account.
I wonder what the SNP have to fear from a parliamentary inquiry.
Scotland deserves answers on this from the very top.
Friends of Cambuslang Park
I would like to say a massive well done to the excellent team at Friends of Cambuslang Park who last Saturday put on a fantastic fun day for local families.
There was plenty for the kids to enjoy with a bouncy castle, face painting and even a petting zoo.
Attending events like this is one of the real perks of being your local MSP.
And I greatly enjoy working alongside community groups who are committed to making this area a better place to live.
Community Council survey
On Saturday, I took the opportunity to show my support for a survey launched by Cambuslang Community Council.
It is designed to find out what people think of Cambuslang; what’s good, what’s bad and what needs to be improved.
The survey can be found on the community council website.
Paper copies of the survey are available at the Cambuslang Library, Cambuslang Institute, Cambuslang Parish Church and Eastfield Community Centre.
The survey has two weeks left and I would strongly recommend local folk have their say.
