Clutha gig for Dog­tooth

A La­nark­shire band are cel­e­brat­ing af­ter be­com­ing the youngest band to play the newly re-opened Clutha.

Larkhall based Craig Mor­ri­son (13) is the bassist with mod rock­ers Dog­tooth, who took to the stage at the new­lyre­fur­bished venue.

He was joined in the three-piece by lead singer and gui­tarist John He­wit­son (13) from Kil­birnie and 15-year-old drum­mer Robert La­nark, who lives in Lin­wood.

The group, who take in­flu­ence from The Clash and The Stone Roses, won a bat­tle of the bands com­pe­ti­tion which gave them the chance to play the venue, record their first EP, and film a mu­sic video for their track A Way Of Life in the Clutha.

They cov­ered songs from The Who, The Jam and The Stran­glers, and said they were de­lighted to have the op­por­tu­nity.
