A host of ACE (Arts, Culture and Exercise) activities are available to youngsters throughout Rutherglen and Cambuslang
Membership to the South Lanarkshire Council- run scheme is available to children under the age of 16 for £22.45 a month, although some may be open to discounts. Kids and young people can also pay-as-they-go at many of the activities.
There will be adult and child swimming classes at Stonelaw Community Sports Centre every Monday, and tennis classes the same day.
Badminton classes will be every Tuesday at Stonelaw, and both football and disability football will be on Wednesdays.
Girls club will be on Thursdays, and athletics on the same day, both at Stonelaw.
Saturday brings both football and super soccer to Stonelaw.
South Lana r k s h i re Lifestyles in Eastfield will also host adult and child swimming every Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
There will be gymnastics classes for 18 months to five years at Springhall Community Centre on the same day.
Gymnastics classes will also be held at Fernhill Community Centre on Fridays.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday will also see the bouncing high classes held at Cathkin High.
The Lifestyles centre will hold dance classes every Wednesday, while Westburn community centre will hold dodgeball sessions on Fridays. Two Rutherglen women have been charged with assault.
Ashleigh ( 23) and Linda McGarry ( 56) of Alloway Cresecent, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday (August 18).
On June 30, 2014, on Dalmarnock Road, the two woman are accused of seizing another woman by the hair, pulling her to the ground and repeatedly kicking her on the head and body to her injury.
They pleaded not guilty and were ordained to reappear on September 17 for trial.
